GWHS Virtual Learning Day Plans

Student Expectations and Support:

Students have been provided with assignments to complete at home during our virtual learning days. All assignments are paper-based, so no digital access is required.

Students are expected to turn in their completed work when we return to school in order to receive both a grade and attendance credit. Students who do not submit the assigned work will be marked absent for the virtual learning days and will receive a zero (bronze grade) for the assignment. If a student's teacher is not specifically listed below, that student should still complete the assignment for that class and for their grade level. For example: Student X is in 10th grade and taking Geometry with teacher Y, but teacher Y is not listed under Math. Student X should still complete the 10th grade Geometry assignment listed. 

To support students during virtual learning days, GWHS administration, teachers, and counseling staff will be available for office hours using the meeting links listed below. Students are not required to attend but may attend if they need assistance.

• Morning Office Hours: 9:00–10:00 AM

• Afternoon Office Hours: 1:00–2:00 PM

Additionally, students who have questions or need assistance are encouraged to email their teachers or school administration, who will be available to provide support.

Virtual Virginia Courses: please see the Inclement Weather Policy for students that are enrolled in Virtual Virginia Courses: Inclement Weather Policy  Monday, 1/26, will be an Independent Learning Day (asynchronous). Students should log in to their VVA course(s) and work asynchronously. Regular synchronous instruction will not be held. Updates will be provided throughout the week, as necessary.
